About The Collection

I started throwing a huge Halloween party on a whim, and it quickly became an annual tradition. I keep fourteen animal onesies on hand to inflict on anyone who arrives costumeless. People tend to learn their lesson—and come prepared the next year.

These photographs are not about showing off technical skill. They are about why I love photography in the first place: a camera can catch a fleeting piece of an amazing night and let it live beyond the night itself.

Halloween is costumes and creativity, but it is also time with friends—the expressions, pairings, and little moments that would otherwise blur together. Looking back at these frames brings the people and energy of that night right back. That is the kind of memory I always want to keep making photographs for.
